- Shaving Cream
- Food Coloring
- Muffin Tin/Baking Dish
- Paper Towels (for drying the eggs after)
First thing’s first, hard boil your eggs. This can easily be done in a pot of water, just like if you’re boiling eggs for deviled eggs. I used my Dash Every Day Egg Cooker. Seriously, how cute is it? It was a gift from our wedding registry when we got married!
Once the eggs have boiled and cooled, they’re ready to dye! I used my muffin tin for this step. Spray shaving cream into each muffin compartment. Then, add in your drops of food coloring. You can be really creative and use several colors!
You will now take a skewer (I just wiped the skewer after each use) and swirl around the food coloring into the shaving cream. How pretty is this? I love all the colorful swirls you get!
Next, place each egg in it’s own muffin compartment. Gently turn the egg around in the shaving cream until covered. Now, let the eggs sit for 15 minutes!
When your 15 minutes is up, rinse each egg under cold water and wipe to dry with a paper towel. You should now have your beautiful dyed eggs! I think they are so pretty. They remind me of a galaxy or a beautiful marble! Who knew shaving cream dyed Easter eggs was a thing?
Seriously, how pretty are these?
Decorate them how ever you’d like! Of course an egg platter is perfect. I love this pink, glass one that my mom purchased on our latest Target outing.
